In the beginning: October 2004, Zachary Minor described the idea of a Southern Arizona branch of CFI to a group of about 50 people.

A month later in Novermber 2004, Jerry Karches and Paul Taylor met with the group as the beginning of CFI-SAZ. Our series of monthly meetings and lectures have continued to the present talks that promote our cultural and political goals.

We are now FreeThought Arizona and are no longer a branch of the Center for Inquiry. We continue to endorse the goals of CFI, but are no longer a legal branch of CFI, the transnational organization. We are now an independent 501c3 nonprofit corporation. We are pleased to accept donations and endowments. All paid dues, donations, and endowments are tax deductible for IRS purposes and will be used to further our mission. We are a growing organization. Many are pictured in the photo array below.
