Social Activities SIG encourages community and caring friendships within FreeThought Arizona through a variety of activities. If you have any questions, contact Bill Holliday at  bill@ffafinancial.com.

SOS Tucson SIG provides a safe meeting place for recovering addicts of all types, religious or otherwise, located in the southeastern Arizona area. We are a successful and increasingly popular non-religious alternative to 12-Step and other religion-based or pseudo-scientific recovery programs. We credit the individual, not any "Higher Power," with achieving and maintaining sobriety.

Our meetings are held every Saturday from 1:30 PM–2:30 PM at 1501 North Campbell Avenue (Dining Room A) in Tucson. For more information, please contact sostuc123@gmail.com

Educational SIG is led by Jerry Karches. The current topic is "Philosophy & Intellectual History--Great Minds of the Western Intellectual Tradition" philosophers and other influencial people from Aristotle to modern times.

Over the last three years we have studied Cosmology: "The History and Nature of Our Universe", the "Five Great Religions of the World Hinduism, Buddism, Christianity, Judiasm, and Islam", and "Justice-What is the Right Thing to Do?" which was described as critical thinking.

Secular Humanist Jewish Circle SIG is a group that emphasizes Jewish culture and Jewish history as the source of Jewish identity. Its rituals and ceremonies do not include prayer or invocation of a deity. Members of the group believe that they possess the power and responsibility to shape their own lives independent of supernatural authority.  The group meets regularly to celebrate Jewish holidays, sponsor educational events and socialize with others that share the philosophy of Humanistic Judaism. For more information, contact Susan Rubin, srubinaz@comcast.net, 520 577-7718.

New FreeThought Arizona SIGs can be started by contacting KitKatJam@freethoughtaz.org. Changes to current announcements on Meetup.com or suggestions for improvements can be directed to George Wheeler, geo@freethoughtaz.org.
